Mashup, a learn-by-doing ideation event for local teens, is being held again in March. It’s a chance for youth to not only come up with great, problem-solving ideas, but to test them using real world techniques, while being mentored by experts giving back their expertise and experiences.

Water is something essential to us. Whether it’s to drink, clean or play, water is used every day and so it is no surprise how much care is needed to ensure the Bay of Plenty has the freshest water available. In fact, $30 million is invested each year into maintaining the regions fresh water resources.
It is easy to see why this region was named The Bay of Plenty when we look out and see the beautiful mountains, beaches, forestry, and wildlife. That’s why it is especially important to come up with ways to protect and enhance the land and those who live in it...
